Proactive Policing Leads to Robbery Arrests Near Charlie Brown Roundabout

I wanted to provide you an update regarding robbery, which some members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey.

👮‍♂️ Proactive Policing Leads to Robbery Arrests near Charlie Brown Roundabout

On SUNDAY 20th JULY 2025 Local Orchard Estate officers from Bridge and Churchfields wards, were attending local community events and on their way back, the team carried out proactive patrols around the Charlie Brown Roundabout when they spotted two males wearing balaclavas and acting suspiciously.

At that very moment, a CAD came through reporting a robbery nearby, where a victim had their phone stolen.

Trusting their instincts, the officers approached the area, found them and stopped both individuals. While the initial search didn’t uncover anything, PCSO NICOLA spotted one of the suspects pretending to tie their shoelaces. On closer inspection of the area, the officer discovered the victim’s stolen phone hidden nearby.

As a result, both males were arrested on suspicion of robbery.

👏 A brilliant example of proactive, community-led policing and great teamwork from the officers involved.
